You can get a pet from milestone rewards (from level up), at level 15 or any multiple of 15. Not all players get a pet every 15 levels but the chance is high. There is also a small chance to get a special skin (outfit) instead of a pet. You need to be a member (have a power pendant active) to collect the milestone rewards to have a chance at obtaining the pet or outfit.
You can also buy a pet from the web shop with fiat money or crypto. You can even buy some pets in-game with gold (virtual pets), at Emporium.
